Friends and contacts from the trade urged to support fund-raising event.
Antony Wakeham, who founded the British Equestrian Trade Association (BETA), is inviting friends and colleagues to join him at a choral concert to raise money for his parish church.
The event, featuring a top-class ensemble of performers from Cambridge University, is on Thursday, 30 June from 6pm.
All Saints’ Church in the village of Bramham, West Yorkshire is, according to Antony, “in desperate need of repair.”
The parish church is close to Bramham Park which hosts the annual horse trials and easily reached from the A1 (M).
All Saints’ Church has been a place of worship in Bramham since 915AD. Its Anglo-Saxon, oval-shaped churchyard is the only one of its kind in the county.
Concert goers will enjoy a bring-your-own picnic in the church yard at the interval.
Tickets are £20 each, payment in advance secures a seat; cash will be taken on the door.
Cheques for tickets or donations to the restoration fund should be made payable to All Saints’ Church VCC and sent to Antony Wakeham MBE, The Bungalow, Wothersome Grange, Wetherby LS23 6LY. Tel 0113 289 2164.
