Initiative highlights “lifelong pleasure” equestrian sport delivers.
Supplements brand BETTALIFE is supporting a new eventing series for competitors aged 45 and over.
Among the prizes is a cash reward for the top-ranked rider aged 60-plus.
The new BETTALIFE Veteran Eventing Championship is run in conjunction with The Event Horse Owners Association (EHOA).
Open to competitors aged at least 45, results from a maximum of five British Eventing (BE) competitions completed on one horse will count.
First prize is £500, a trophy, rosette and BETTALIFE products, with the runner-up receiving £250 plus a rosette and products.
The highest placed rider aged 60 and over takes home £100, as does the best placed EHOA member. They too will win rosettes and products.
“We’re thrilled to be partnering with EHOA this year for the Veteran Eventing Championship,” said BETTALIFE director Ryan Millar.
“Our passion for equestrian sport at both the amateur and professional level is one of our key company values, and with transparency at our core, we hope riders feel supported in knowing that our products are all safe for BE, and other national and international competition use.
“We look forward to celebrating the hard work of these veteran riders this season.”
Added Linda Allan, EHOA chair: “The EHOA looks forward to collaborating with BETTALIFE to highlight the lifelong pleasure as well as physical benefits that equestrian sport provides.”
