Friends, family and colleagues gather to wish them well.
Claire Williams, executive director of the British Equestrian Trade Association (BETA), and her long-time partner Bob Hook were married on Friday, 14 April.
Bob is a senior lecturer in historic conservation. Claire has headed the trade association for 23 years.
The wedding ceremony took place in a tiny 13th century church tucked away in Yorkshire’s Howardian Hills. In a nod to Claire’s New Zealand heritage, the service included a Māori love song.
A lively reception and long lunch followed with family, friends and colleagues wishing the couple every happiness.
The three-tier wedding cake was decorated with horses, a food smoker, country pursuits and flora and fauna reflecting Claire and Bob’s shared interests.
A honeymoon in New Zealand is planned for later in the year.
