Big name brands get behind equestrianism from riding clubs to Olympic stars.
The 2025 show and event season is off to a positive start with drying ground and new sponsorships announced.
Commercial support is particularly welcome this year as competition venues struggle with escalating costs. Meanwhile retailers stand to benefit from brands’ additional exposure.
Among a diverse selection of new sponsorships just announced are:
Dodson & Horrell (D&H) has become the Official Nutritional Partner to British Riding Clubs (BRC). The brand is also to continue its collaboration with the BHS Scotland Working Hunter series.
Said Rachael Hollely-Thompson, head of BRC: “There is a huge amount of synergy between BRC and D&H, namely making sure that the horse is at the heart of everything we do. Supporting our members to have happy and healthy horses is a key driver for us both.”D&H managing director, Linda Porter added: “The BRC community is epitomised by its love of horses but also by the fun and team spirit we see from all members. Bliss of London has a new partnership with Somerford Park Farm, the world-class equestrian facility in Cheshire.
The saddle-maker is supporting the venue’s seven-mile Farm Ride, with its optional jumps and three water features. Riders who hold a loyalty card and complete nine rides get their tenth ride free and a rosette from Bliss of London.
“I’m excited to be supporting the Farm Ride – this is an unusual opportunity for the many leisure riders who don’t compete to earn a rosette,” said Nikki Newcombe, managing director of Bliss of London which joins Baileys Horse Feeds as joint sponsor of the Somerford Park venue.
LeMieux has renewed its decade-long sponsorship of Olympic gold medal winning show jumper Scott Brash.
“Our partnership with Scott has stood the test of time and truly exemplifies our shared dedication to excellence in equestrian sports, with a deep and profound respect for the bond between horse and rider,” said brand founder Robert Lemieux.
Harry Hall has become an official supporting partner to The Howden Way Thoroughbred Aftercare Programme (TAP). Liz Hopper, CEO at Harry Hall, said the TAP was “a fantastic initiative in supporting the transition of racehorses to their second careers.”
Baileys Horse Feeds is to support the National Pony Society’s M&M Working Hunter Pony Championship and the Sport Horse Breeding (SHB) (GB) Working Hunter Championships at the Royal International Horse Show (RIHS) at Hickstead in July.
“Baileys are long-term supporters of British breeding and this new partnership will see us providing support for SHB(GB)’s stallion and mare gradings, as well as its working hunter championships,” said Jane Buchan, Baileys’ marketing manager.
Horse of the Year Show 2025 has a new in-hand showing class. The UK American Miniature Horse of the Year is sponsored by Pandora’s Miniature Farm – a Kent based breeding facility for the breed.
Described as an ‘educational’ class, judging will include commentary on the entered American Miniature Horses’ traits, temperament, conformation and movement.
HorseHage is Bolesworth International Horse Show’s Official Forage Supplier for a third year.
