Country Direct has taken on the UK distribution of Fleck whips.
The German brand was previously supplied to retailers by Zebra Products which recently announced a streamlining of its portfolio.
“Following the news that the distribution of Fleck had become available in the UK, we knew we would be the perfect home for the brand,” says Michael Darley, co-founder of Country Direct.
Zebra Products, where Simon Middleton is managing director, distributed Fleck whips to the UK trade for more than 20 years.
“Simon has done a great job establishing the brand in the UK market and we look forward to building and growing these relationships,” added Michael.
“We are excited to get started offering Fleck products to the UK market.”
Fleck has been making riding and carriage driving whips at its base in Schwarzach near Heidelberg for around 150 years.
CEO Rudi Maisack thanked Zebra Products for its “very good and harmonious collaboration” during its distributorship.
“We are very pleased that we have succeeded in finding a highly committed, very competent successor in Country Direct,” he added.
Michael told ETN that Country Direct will be holding and supplying Fleck products from the UK to “take away any headaches caused with duties and carriage from Europe.”
