Tenders are invited from potential partners.

British Equestrian is seeking a research partner to examine environmental sustainability within equestrian sport.

The project is designed to address equestrianism’s negative environmental impact, and to inform and educate those involved about their responsibility to the planet.

British Equestrian, whose member bodies include British Showjumping, British Dressage and British Eventing, is inviting tenders from suitable organisations who can help it determine a baseline for environmental sustainability.

The contract is expected to run from October 2022 to January 2023.

“Across sport, there is a growing awareness of the collective responsibility to the environment,” says the federation in a statement.

“British Equestrian is acutely aware of both its environmental and social responsibilities and understands changes may be needed to ensure the equestrian way of life is as environmentally conscious as possible.”

Written tenders are invited by Friday, 16 September.
