“We’re proud to be involved,” says MD.

Riding for the Disabled (RDA) has thanked Red Gorilla for its sponsorship – and urged other equestrian companies to emulate its support.

The tubs and stable tools supplier is sponsoring Jackson, a 16.1hh coloured cob. The gelding was donated to the charity following a showing career.

Jackson proved his credentials as a partner of disabled people learning to ride when his previous owner’s friend had a seizure while on his back – and he stopped and stood still.

Red Gorilla also backed carriage driving at last weekend’s RDA National Championships, held at Hartpury.

“As a company, we’re proud to be involved with RDA and to support their tremendous work to transform people’s lives through horses,” said Dean Cox, managing director of Red Gorilla.

The charity’s interim CEO, Paul Ringer, added: “We’re grateful to Red Gorilla for their support of our national championships and to our organisation.”

RDA is encouraging other companies to support the charity by sponsoring a horse at its National Training Centre.
