“There’s a big appetite for nutrition knowledge.”

Equine gastric ulcers and nutrition are to be highlighted during a free webinar hosted by SPILLERS on 21 November.

The webinar, which has been accredited by AMTRA with six CPD points, is part of a winter-feeding series from the feed brand.

A series of free webinars, presented by SPILLERS, is covering key winter feeding topics.

The one-hour session, presented by SPILLERS nutritionist Sarah Nelson, will feature practical guidance and tips for horse owners with a Q&A session at the end.

Continuing Professional Development (CPD) in equine nutrition provides equestrian industry professionals with the opportunity to keep their nutrition knowledge and skills up to date, in a formally recognised way.

The CPD accreditation for this seminar is only available for AMTRA RAMAs/SQPs (Registered Animal Medicines Advisors/Suitably Qualified Persons) who are required to accrue CPD points to retain their qualification.

The webinar series from SPILLERS continues with ‘Ageless equines: feeding and care for senior horses’ on 11 January, 2024; and ‘Spring slim-down: feeding tips for overweight horses’ on 27 February, 2024.

More than 250 people have already signed up for the equine gastric ulcers and nutrition webinar on 21 November.

“The popularity of our webinars is a real reflection of the big appetite that UK’s horse owners have for nutrition knowledge,” said Sarah Nelson, nutritionist and product manager at Mars Horsecare, home of the SPILLERS brand.

“We are delighted that our gastric ulcers webinar is now AMTRA accredited, bringing even greater value to those who are working towards more formal recognition of their nutrition knowledge.”
