“Brilliant opportunity” for manufacturers and retailers to work together and reach consumers.
The British Equestrian Trade Association (BETA) is set to extend its campaign to improve horse owner knowledge of feeding and nutrition into a biannual event.
The retitled BETA Feed Fact Fortnight runs for a fifth year with the same mission to dispel feeding myths and grow nutritional knowledge.
The campaign takes place from 26 March to 10 April, and again in the autumn on 5 – 20 November to coincide with Your Horse Live.
BETA Feed Fact Fortnight will reach out to the nation’s horse owners and carers with a huge helping of trustworthy tips and guidance from qualified equine nutritionists.
BETA member retailers and manufacturers have joined forces to help the trade association drive home important feed-related messages and encourage greater customer engagement.
All those signed up to the scheme are listed on a dedicated page on the BETA website (beta-uk.org) and have been provided with Feed Fact Fortnight branded promotional merchandise to flag up their participation.
“We are delighted to welcome the extension of this important campaign following a couple of challenging years,” said BETA executive director Claire Williams.
“It offers retailers and feed and supplement manufacturers a brilliant opportunity to work together to promote the importance of sound nutritional advice.
“By focusing on good feed practice and helping consumers to make more informed choices when it comes to buying their feed and supplements, the campaign will play a powerful role in raising awareness of equine nutritional welfare.”
BETA retail and trade members are invited to follow and engage with Feed Fact Fortnight on Facebook or Instagram using the #BFFF22 hashtag.
