How to nominate for industry awards.

Nominations are open for this year’s BETAs – the British Equestrian Trade Awards.

The annual industry accolades are presented at the British Equestrian Trade Association (BETA) Gala Dinner on the first evening of the two-day BETA International trade fair – Sunday, 22 September.

The dinner will be held close to the NAEC, Stoneleigh, the home of BETA International.

“Last year’s BETA Gala Dinner was a sell out, so the venue this year will be able to cater for greater numbers,” said Claire Williams from BETA.

The awards presentation is always an eagerly awaited element of the black-tie event, with the results a closely-guarded secret until the big night.

The BETAs are presented at the BETA Gala Dinner, a glittering social occasion for the equestrian industry.

“Winners of a BETA are people and businesses who go above and beyond for the benefit of the equestrian industry in one of the eleven categories,” added Ms Williams.

The Export Award returns this year. Other categories include Zebra Products Retailer of the Year (with awards for best internet, store and new retailer).

More highlights are the WeatherBeeta Group Retail Employee of the Year, Holdsworth PR Marketing Effectiveness Award, Equine Careers Sales Representative of the Year and Citation Trade Supplier of the Year.

The Stubbs England Nutritional Helpline of the Year is a long-standing award at the BETAs. The Equine Fitters Council sponsors the Equine Fitter of the Year.

The winner of the BETA Lifetime Achievement award will be revealed during the evening too.
