INDUSTRY CONFERENCE INTRODUCES BUDDY SYSTEM

Experienced delegates are standing by to team up with newcomers.

“Don’t be put off coming because you might not know anyone.”

That’s the message from the British Equestrian Trade Association (BETA) which hosts its annual conference at the Hilton East Midlands Airport on Monday, 24 February.

This year, the popular networking event has introduced a buddy system to pair newbies with regulars.

“The experienced delegate acts as a mentor, guide and friend, helping the newcomer navigate the conference and feel more comfortable,” says BETA’s Claire Williams.

What’s on?

The BETA Conference is a full day of presentations, discussions and chances to get together with industry colleagues.

Expert speakers will cover HR changes for businesses, what equestrianism’s social licence means for the industry, new regulations for firms selling to EU countries and using AI tools to boost efficiency and enhance customer service.

There will also be political insight, marketing tips and advice on greenwashing.

The conference is preceded by the members-only BETA AGM.

Preferential hotel room rates are available for delegates wishing to stay over, with an informal dinner happening on the Sunday evening.
