Specialist equestrian publisher to handle advertising in leading trade title.

Abi Cannon - Commercial Director

DJ Murphy Publishers (DJM), owner of Horse&Rider and PONY magazines, are to sell advertising in Equestrian Trade News (ETN).

The agreement, effective from 1 January, 2022, follows 18 months of DJM’s involvement with the leading trade title’s design and publishing.

ETN remains in the ownership of Equestrian Management Consultants (EMC), the commercial arm of the British Equestrian Trade Association (BETA) Group, which has published the magazine for more than 40 years.

Evie Edgar - Account Manager

DJM will sell advertising space within ETN’s printed magazine, which appears ten times per year, on its weekly e-newsletter and across other promotional opportunities.

ETN’s long standing team of Nicki Lewis, digital manager, and editor Liz Benwell remains in place.

Current advertising manager Beth Crow is about to start a new job with South Yorkshire retailer Iron Horse Equestrian Supplies.

“I am delighted that DJM are taking on this additional role with ETN and look forward to seeing new advertisers join our existing customer base," said BETA’s executive director, Claire Williams.

Francesca Slack - Production Manager

DJM’s managing director, Zoe Cannon, added: “We’re really excited to be extending our partnership with the team at ETN. As of the New Year we’ll be able to offer all our clients, both existing and new, access to the UK’s best trade publication as well as our award-winning consumer titles Horse&Rider and PONY Magazine. This natural progression allows us to support clients’ marketing needs from retailer to end user so that they can maximise their campaigns.”
