Now they’re bound for world’s most romantic city… to watch the Olympic eventing cross-country.

Nikki Newcombe and David Rollinson tied the knot at Forter Castle in the Scottish Highlands

Well known saddlery industry couple Nikki Newcombe and David Rollinson were married on 3 July.

The ceremony took place at Forter Castle in the Scottish Highlands surrounded by close family and friends.

The couple both work at saddlery company Bliss of London. Nikki is a former chair of the British Equestrian Trade Association (BETA).

They tied the knot true to the saying with a traditional handfasting ceremony in which the couple’s hands are symbolically tied together to represent their commitment to one another.

In a nod to her Scottish descent, Nikki wore the Ogilvie ancient hunting tartan.

After a few days in the Highlands, they returned home to Staffordshire for a reception held in tipis on the farm.

Among Nikki and David’s wedding gifts were tickets for the Paris Olympics eventing cross-country day.

“We’re very excited about going to the Olympics,” said Nikki. “We also have a family holiday in Sicily planned, so our official honeymoon can wait for another year.”

The couple met through the saddlery industry. David oversees production at Bliss of London while Nikki manages the business.
