More than 16,000 equestrian consumers are expected to visit this weekend’s National Equine Show to shop and soak up knowledge.

“[This year] we have an even bigger floorplan for visitors to enjoy,” added Liz Ormesher, event director of the show on 1 and 2 March at the NEC, Birmingham.

“I am delighted to continue our support of the National Equine Show and be able to showcase our newest models at the show,” said evoke founder and CEO, David Mitson. evoke products will be available to view and purchase through the Hope Valley Saddlery stand, he added.

Celebrities on parade

GS Equestrian & Country returns to the National Equine Show as sponsor of the Meet & Greet area where visitors can meet their equestrian heroes.

This year, Mary and Emily King, Esme Higgs, Sam Dracott, Carl Hester, Yasmin Ingham and Megan Elphick are among the horsey celebrities to be participating.

“This event is a true celebration of the equestrian community, bringing together riders, enthusiasts and industry leaders in one incredible space,” said Chantelle Joslin from GS Equestrian & Country.

For savvy shoppers

The British Equestrian Trade Association (BETA) will be at the show too with a team of experts on hand to answer equestrian consumers’ questions as well as a competition wheel for visitors to win lots of goodies provided by BETA and its members.

“At this time of year, we expect a slew of questions about hats and body protectors with the competition season looming as well as queries around the NOPS feed scheme and how it can help reducing the risk of a horse testing positive for a banned substance. We’re very happy to help anyone who comes along to the BETA stand,” says the trade association’s Claire Williams.

Tickets for the National Equine Show cost £15 per day, £20 for a weekend pass, and under 16s are free.
