A small equestrian company has made a big name for itself with a slot on a national radio programme.
Dressage Anywhere featured on Virgin Radio’s prime-time Chris Evans Breakfast Show.
The online dressage platform appeared in the Biggest Little Ad in the World slot where Chris and his side-kick Vassos Alexander put together an advert for a small business - with sound effects and lively commentary.
Ruth Chappell, co-founder of Dressage Anywhere, told ETN: “I listen to the Chris Evans Breakfast Show a lot. So, when I heard about the Biggest Little Ad in the World, I thought ‘why not have a go and see if they will feature Dressage Anywhere’”.
Ruth was on a video call with her husband as her company got its big mention.
“We both sat there, completely gobsmacked, that this little business that I work so hard on was on the radio,” she said.
Ruth started Dressage Anywhere 15 years ago with Nereide Goodman and Lucinda Freeman. The online platform makes dressage competitions and training accessible to people around the world.
Riders film their dressage test at their home yard or stables and upload the video for judging by qualified British Dressage judges. Competitors receive scoresheets and, if placed, prizes and rosettes
