“At times like this we’ve got to support one another in our industry,” says business owner.

Gallop Equestrian is donating 10,000 face masks to equestrian retail businesses.

The West Midlands based supplier is covering carriage costs when it sends out the free face covers in boxes of 50 to BETA retail members who request them.

“This industry’s been good to me,” said Gallop’s managing director Bobby Taak, “and at times like this we’ve got to support one another.

“So I decided to do something that would help retailers keep their staff safe and give their customers confidence following the Covid-19 outbreak.”

Gallop Equestrian supplies the trade with constantly updated ranges of rugs, clothing, accessories and leatherwork.

“The masks are here, in my warehouse, ready for retailers who will find them useful,” said Bobby. “I can’t survive without my retailers – it’s all about working together just now.”

Claire Williams, executive director of BETA added: “Many retailers have a great deal to do as they prepare to open stores more widely and bring additional staff back to work.

“So Gallop Equestrian’s generous offer of free face masks is most timely when retailers are working hard and, in many cases, up against squeezed cash flow.”

The free, unbranded face masks are offered by Gallop Equestrian free to BETA retail members (including saddle fitters), one box per store, on a first-come, first-served basis. Carriage is free.

Retailers should telephone Gallop Equestrian on 01902 454771 or email contact@gallopequestrian.com to claim their box. Availability is while stocks last.
